About Us
The Department of Drug Science (DSF) brings together faculty members and researchers from various disciplines involved in the research and development of drugs and health products in their many aspects. The scientific activities carried out at the DSF are organized into the following highly innovative research areas: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Food Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.
Over the years, the DSF has established a network of successful national and international collaborations with other universities, research institutions, and leading industries, which makes it a cutting-edge structure in the field of drug research. The main research lines and research groups are described in the section dedicated to research.
For years, the DSF has ranked among the top in national rankings for the teaching quality of the Pharmacy and CTF (Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies) degree programs. More information about the educational offerings can be found in the section dedicated to teaching.
The DSF also oversees several Level II Master's programs and participates in the PhD program in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Innovation. These postgraduate initiatives contribute to a stimulating environment of exchange among young people interested in departmental research topics.
