The “Università nei Collegi” Project
The University in Colleges project offers a valuable training opportunity for students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at the University of Pavia. This initiative enables students to attend high-quality courses held at university colleges by external professors with recognized national and international experience and prestige.
The courses offered through this project:
- Are recognized as curricular credits (3 or 6 CFU/ECTS) and can be included in the study plan as elective exams;
- Are delivered in an intensive format, typically lasting 1 to 2 weeks;
- Require mandatory attendance.

The course aims to provide advanced knowledge and skills in design and
in the regulation of nanomedicines. Topics related to
development strategies for nanotechnological pharmaceutical products, with the analysis of case studies
real and the deepening of the regulatory context in the biotech sector applied to
nanomedicines.
The teacher Adriele Prina-Mello is Ussher Assistant Professor in Nanomedicine
Translational and Associate Director for Research at Trinity School of Medicine
Dublin College, of which he has also been a Fellow since 2021. He is also Director of the Laboratory for
the Biomedical Characterization of Advanced Materials in Ireland. His research activity yes
it places at the intersection of materials science, nanotechnology and biomedical applications,
with a strong focus on technological innovation in healthcare. Collaborate with the area
"Health" of the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of
Innovation and Technology (EIT).
