ADMISSION WITH EVALUATION OF PREVIOUS UNIVERSITY CAREER (PRE-EVALUATION)

Who can submit the application

Students who already have a previous university career (second degree, career closed due to expiration or resignation, transfer from another university, change of course), and are interested in an evaluation for enrollment in a course at the University of Pavia.

For courses with restricted access, if there is doubt about the possibility of admission to subsequent years, it is advisable to follow the procedures for first-year enrollment.

ATTENTION: If the student is not interested in enrolling in a subsequent year after the first, they can apply for validation of exams already taken after enrollment. In this case, the student remains enrolled in the first year with validation of exams deemed equivalent by the Teaching Council.

 

Here's how to submit the application for Bachelor's/Master's degree programs with a single-cycle at the University of Pavia:

  • Log in to the Reserved Area of the University of Pavia and complete the registration process.
  • If the candidate already has a password for online services, they do not need to register again. They should directly access the Reserved Area using their existing credentials. In case of password loss or malfunction, they can email password@universitadipavia.it, attaching an identity document.
  • Use the Username and Password obtained to access your Reserved Area and click on the menu item "SEGRETERIA > TEST DI AMMISSIONE."
  • Select the competition "VALUTAZIONE CARRIERA UNIVERSITARIA PRECEDENTE (PREVALUTAZIONE) PER IL CORSO DI LAUREA IN ..." and proceed with the guided procedure by attaching the required documents:
  • Copy of both sides of your ID card and tax code (Codice Fiscale).
  • Request form for evaluation of previous career (available soon): Fill in your personal data, select your previous position, and complete with the required information. For each exam, indicate the university where it was taken, the number of credits (CFU), the scientific-disciplinary sector, grade, and date of completion. Only exams listed in the self-certification, signed for validity, will be considered.
  • Syllabus of each exam not taken at the University of Pavia.
  • Any other attachments useful for evaluating your previous career.

Promptly proceed to pay the invoice for €35, designated as "Rimborso spese – Valutazione della carriera universitaria precedente (prevalutazione) per il corso di laurea in ...", which can be downloaded at the end of the procedure or from the PAYMENTS section of your Reserved Area. This process ensures the evaluation of your previous university career for admission into Bachelor's/Master's degree programs with a single-cycle at the University of Pavia.

When to submit the application:

Three-year degree programs - Open-access: from June 1st to October 31st, 2022.

Restricted-access degree programs: deadline specified in the competition notices, dependent on the number of available seats and specific requests outlined in the respective announcements.

What happens after submitting the application:

Once the application is submitted, the Evaluation Commission will assess the exams eligible for recognition and determine the year of admission. The commission will then transmit the evaluation outcome to the relevant offices through a deliberation. The offices will send the deliberation to the student's specified email address registered in the Reserved Area. The email will also include instructions and deadlines for completing the enrollment.

Before proceeding with enrollment, please carefully verify the evaluation outcome. Revision of the deliberation, with a request for correction, is permitted only in appropriately documented and justified cases.
